The FBI has issued a statement saying that it is aware of an incident involving a colleague who allegedly threatened to blow up a ‘Couple.’
(Photo by Evan Agostini/Getty Images) The FBI said on Tuesday that it has been made aware of allegations of a colleague threatening to blow-up a ‘pair’ in case the person sending the messages is ‘disgraceful’ in texts.FBI Director James Comey said on the same day that his agency has been investigating the case and has ‘taken action to identify those responsible and hold them accountable for their actions.”
The FBI takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and is taking appropriate action,’ Comey said in a statement to CNN.
‘The FBI is also investigating the alleged threat of violence against the FBI agent and a colleague.’
We take these types of allegations very seriously and will take appropriate action, including, if appropriate, disciplinary action, when appropriate, to ensure the safety of our community and the FBI.’
This is an unprecedented situation for the FBI and we are deeply saddened by this incident.’
The FBI said in an official statement that it ‘has made every effort to ensure that no credible threat of harm exists, and that no action is taken that would place any individual or entity in jeopardy of their safety.’
Any individual or organization that threatens the integrity of our work or jeopardizes the safety and security of our personnel or agents is subject to appropriate action and the appropriate response.’
In light of these serious allegations, we have launched an internal review and are conducting a thorough review of our procedures and procedures.’
