In celebration of its 10th anniversary, New York City wedding planner Kate Miller announced plans on Friday to bring her iconic wedding songs to Broadway in a musical-themed song.
In the lead-up to the 10th-anniversary show, Miller has been teasing the song with her Instagram account and Twitter account.
“We will use the music from the wedding songs, and it will be the only one,” she wrote on her Instagram.
“If you can’t wait for the 10-minute performance, I will have a special preview on Broadway in March.”
She also added, “If we are lucky enough to get a Broadway show, I’m sure we will share the music with everyone.”
Miller is the daughter of Broadway’s musical director and composer, William Miller.
She first got into musical theater in the mid-1980s and began composing her own songs in 1991.
“The Wedding” was one of the songs she wrote for the Broadway musical that ran from 1991 to 2001.
Miller has also collaborated with composer Peter Sellers, with whom she has worked on the musical “The Lion King,” “Bubblegum Fishing,” “Tangled” and “Glee.”
“The Musical” has been a huge success on Broadway.
The show drew an estimated 3.2 million people in 2014, and the musical has grossed more than $5 billion at the box office, according to IMDb.
“I love to write about weddings and about family and about what it means to be a part of the world,” Miller said in a statement.
“There is nothing like the feeling of an open and welcoming space that you feel in a big-time wedding venue.”
A statement from the production company added, Miller’s lyrics were chosen based on her family and their experience as she has been married before.
Miller told ABC News in a telephone interview Friday that she would like to write the song “for my family, but they have other things to do. “
To see the songs from the show, and to sing them as Kate, is so much fun for me,” the statement said.
Miller told ABC News in a telephone interview Friday that she would like to write the song “for my family, but they have other things to do.
I’m not sure how we’ll do it yet.”
She said that the producers have not been able to secure an official songwriter for the show.
“They’re all very interested, but it’s just too complicated,” Miller told The Associated Press.
“It’s a little too complex for them, so we’ll see what happens.”
The musical will be directed by Daniel L. Shapiro, who was a director on the “Wedding Singer” musical.
Shapiro has been nominated for a Tony Award and received the Golden Globe Award for Best Musical for “The Royal Wedding.”
“I can’t even think about how much more fun we’ll have with the song,” Miller explained.
“This is my life.”
Miller’s album “The Bride’s Song” also included the songs “The Little Mermaid” and a song called “I Feel Love.”
“It was so great to have a song from my life, and I’m so proud to be able to share that with everyone,” she said.
“That’s the whole point of the album: to be shared.”
The album has sold over 200,000 copies and Miller said she was thrilled to have been a featured guest on the album.
“When you write songs about your own life and your family, it’s so much more powerful,” she told ABC.
“So many people have been so blessed with my music and I want to be part of that.”
